Vicckey Goswami – Music Composer and Singer
Mr. Vicckey Goswami hails from Tezpur in the state of Assam which is known for its beauty, famous Assam tea and the one horned Rhino. He belongs to a family dedicated to art and culture and a known name in the business field. Growing up in such an atmosphere made him drawn towards music from childhood and is his only passion now. From an avid drummer in school days to a gifted percussionist and guitar and keyboard player, and a famous music composer and singer with a heart rendering voice is a huge leap for Vicckey and a boon to the state of Assam and the entire North East and India as a whole.
After his schooling in Donbosco High School in Tezpur, he moved to do his futher studies in Mumbai Wilson College in Political Science. Even though a very good student academically, music was always lingering in his mind and eventually took he big jump into the music world in Mumbai.
Vicckey Goswami has been composing music for more then a decade for the Advertising Industry in India and abroad. His professional career started off as a music composer with the Ford Super Model show with Mehr Jessia Rampal in 1996 where Bipasha went on to win the title. Thereafter, nothing could stop his career from reaching this stupendous height. He composed music for more than 200 Ad films.
His latest score has been for the Audi a8l tvc which won the INTEGRATED SPIKES ASIA AWARD as well as the GOA FEST 2012.
Various awards won by Vicckey Goswami
1. He has won the best composer award for Lowe Lintas for three consecutive years.
2. He has been the finalist at Cannes for the best sound design for his ST Gobbain Film.
3. His composition for the Radio Mirchi won him the RAPA Award for best signature tune
4. An Airtel Ad for which Vicckey was the music composer was archived as one of the best ‘Historical Ads’ in the USA.
He was invited to compose music for a Telecom Company in Uganda with a well known local musician Kaweesa who organized children from an orphanage to sing. This was a project very close to his heart
His musical journey finally took him to Bollywood and awards and success was not far behind when he won the Zee Cine Jury Award for the best background score for the Salman Khan starrer “Tere Naam”.
Vicckey’s most gifted and hidden talent as a singer emerged with the famous song which he composed and sang as a tribute to Late Bhupen Hazarika. It was released on Universal and features Shankar Mahadevan, Kailash Kher and Shaan too.
From there on till today there has been no looking back for this talented singer/musician/lyricist. With few concerts already in his name he has set sail on a new voyage of playing live with his own band. Vicckey is also in the process of releasing his own album shortly.
