My name is Nick Clarke, I work for the Lord Mayor of Manchester's We Love MCR Charity - Registered Charity No.1066972 ([1]).

The reason for my presence on Wikipedia is am intending to propose an article that gives a factual summary of the Charity's 24 year history, present-day importance of work in the region, and links to the contemporary socio-political context of Manchester, UK.

This is for the purposes of creating a more fleshed out understanding of Manchester's Encyclopedia entries on this platform.

Such as our custodianship of the Manchester Memorial Fund ([2]), created to honour the memory of the victims of the 2017 Manchester Arena Attack ([3]) which as of yet has no mention on Wikipedia. Also our organisational structure and constitution which designates the sitting Lord Mayor of Manchester as our Chair of Trustees for their term, which is not currently reflected on the information on the page for the 'list of Manchester Mayors' ([4]) so that page is lacking full detail of the position of Lord Mayor of Manchester.

An example of recent work relevant to regional history being our Covid-19 Community Response Fund, that distributed £1million to over 300 community groups in the City, touching 50,000 lives ([5]) during the most urgent period of the Covid-19 pandemic.

One of our primary funds is the "Sir Howard Bernstein Endowment Fund", created out of a generous donation by Sir Howard upon his retirement from Manchester City Council in 2017, and Sir Howard remains involved with the Charity to this day. The Fund was created to improve the life chances of young Mancunians, and is a key part of his vast legacy in the City but is not mentioned on his page currently ([6]).

Also the entry for the Manchester Worker Bee in the Symbols of Manchester page ([7]) - in 2018 a city-wide event in which over 100 bespoke fibreglass bees appeared in the city, and were auctioned off raising £1.2million which we benefitted from as one of the only Charities allowed to use and receive monies pertaining to usage of the official Manchester Worker Bee licensed image ([8]). Many other .

There are other cultural events, celebrities, and historical work the Charity is involved with, that I would be referencing and linking to once created.

Although I work for the Charity, I'm a Mancunian born and bred and I feel We Love MCR is an important part of our City's social fabric that needs to be recorded, hence my submission.

I hope the editors will review my article submission fairly, and apologies if any processes aren't followed correctly - I am new to Wikipedia!
