Newport Beach Jaycees new article content ... The Newport Beach Junior Chamber (more commonly known as the Newport Beach Jaycees) is a leadership development and civic organization for people between the ages of 21 and 41. Residency in the city is not required and the membership is composed of people from all over Orange County, California as well as some surrounding counties.
Areas of emphasis include: business development, management skills, individual training, community service, social activities and international connections. Following the core mission of leadership development, general members conceive & run the various projects and events the chapter offers throughout the year.
History
[edit]The group which is based in Newport Beach, California was originally established as the Newport Harbor Junior Chamber of Commerce (more commonly known as the Newport Harbor Jaycees) on January 14, 1941 but was reorganized and renamed The Newport Beach Jaycees on January 16, 1998.
The Newport Beach Junior Chamber is a not-for-profit, corporation/organization as described under IRS code 501(c)(4).
Affiliations
[edit]The Newport Beach Jaycees are affiliated with Junior Chamber International, The United States Junior Chamber and The California Junior Chamber. General Members of the Newport Beach Jaycees are also members of the these organizations.
