The Devonport Division [1] was a sub- command of the Home Fleet from 1905 to 1912 and later the Reserve Fleet from 1919 to 1931.[1][2]
History

[edit]The Devonport Divison was initially established in January 1905 when ships in the Home Fleet that were not deemed suitable for combat readiness were divided into three divisions.[1] The division remained within the Home Fleet until March 1909 when the ships of the three divisions were re-distributed but now came under the command of the new 3rd and 4th Division, Home Fleet as three sub-commands, Devonport, Portsmouth and Rosyth until 1912 when the Home Fleet was re-organised as Home Fleets.[1]
