Hello, and welcome to my user page.

[edit]

This (above) is a photograph of the beautiful Wye Downs, near where I grew up in the county of Kent (photo credit: Alfred Gay). I'm originally from the UK but have lived in the US for many years. Some of my interests are education (I taught in NYC schools for over thirty years), history, writing, literature, singing & all good music, nature, gardening, hiking, and murder mysteries.

An Anglo-American I respect immensely is Thomas Paine, author of Common Sense, Agrarian Justice, and The Crisis, who wrote "...my country is the world, and my religion is to do good".
