The Nanjing Normal University Model United Nations Associationis a student's organization under the authority of the institute of foreign languages The Nanjing Normal University model united nations association was established in September 2009.The purpose of the association is to provide an opportunity for the undergraduates to acknowledge international issues, so that they can improve their abilities of oral English and Chinese,negotiate and cooperate, and they can also improve the diplomalic leadership capability. It will choose talented students to participate in national or international model UN conference. With these experiences, their horizon can be expanded. The association also provide a wide stage for those who is determined to take a career as a diplomat.

Since the association was established, it has sent many outstanding delegations to accumulate experience through taking part in the model UN conferences in Harvard University, Hong Kong special administrative region, Zhejiang University, Nanjing University, etc. Now, there is a secretary-general and a vice secretary-general with office,academic department, public relations department and propaganda department under their administration. The four departments have a clear division of work and spare no effort to work together.

The daily activities of the association contain the seminars on international organizations and international issues, the training lectures on how to writing model UN papers, the speech and negotiation skills practices and model conferences.

At the Pan Yangtze river delta model UN conference in November 2010, delegate in Nanjing Normal University gained the Best Process Award;

At the University of Science and Technology of China model UN conference,delagate in this school won the Best Speech Award.

At the beginning of 2011, the delegations of Nanjing Normal University attended the Hong kong Model UN Conference,and the delegate won the Best Position Paper Award.Furthermore, at the Huazhong Agricultural University Model UN Conference, delegates in Nanjing Normal University have won the Best Position Paper Award too. And at the South-east University model UN Conference,delegates got back the Outstanding Leadership Award. All these awards have proved the strength of Nanjing Normal University Model United Nations Association.

Nanjing Normal University is located in Nanjing, which has gone through six dynasties, it has fostered many excellent workers under its motto. During 2009 to 2010, three continuous Nanjing Normal University Model United Nations Conferences have been held successfully, which proved the association's abilities of organizing conferences. During the three years, the conferences have attracted excellent model UN associations of universities and high schools in the whole nation. This year, the association gained the right for hosting The Second Model United Nations Developmental Forum in Jiangsu Province,thus expanding model united nations' influence.

Nanjing Normal University Model United Nations Association has initially revealed its light. The association are working for the establishment of the model united nation association specialized in academy and culture.
