My POV is that truth is detectable through science and the cumulation of knowledge. Progress in science is primarily restricted by popular norms and values, particularly among academics, who often get caught up in their own academic cultures.

Wikipedia editors too are susceptible to this human frailty. I make no claims that I am immune, but I think I am more willing than most to grasp the implications of new-found evidence that may challenge orthodoxy.
