I am currently looking at 3 pages to edit for this Wikipedia project.
The first page I'm looking at is Yes Means Yes. This page talks about the book written in 2008 with the same name. I was planning on expanding the page drastically by reading through the book and giving a description of each of the essays published in the book. On top of this, I would search up the reception each of the essays/the whole book received and what the effect (if any) was on today's society.
The second page I'm looking at is New Jersey State Council on the Arts. I believe that this page needs to be expanded on immensely, especially for the Arts community. I would do research on the actual organization and give it a much better, flushed out look into the council and any things surrounding the council.
Lastly, I'm looking at Spirit Day. This is a LGBTQ holiday started by a teenager in Canada and is observed every year in October. The page is pretty short and could be expanded greatly. I would use sources like the official Spirit Day page on the GLAAD website to talk about recognition and more of the history of the holiday.
This user is a student editor in Wikipedia:Wiki_Ed/Arizona_State_University/Media,_Community_and_Identity_Politics_(Spring_2017). Student assignments should always be carried out using a course page set up by the instructor. It is usually best to develop assignments in your sandbox. After evaluation, the additions may go on to become a Wikipedia article or be published in an existing article. |
