Le Trombone Illustré was a supplemental magazine included with thirty issues of Spirou between March 17 and October 20 in 1977. This publication which stood apart from its parent magazine, was chiefly the result of the creative efforts of André Franquin and Yvan Delporte.
Campaign
[edit]In issue 2026 of Spirou, published February 10, 1977, an announcement was initiated in a similar manner to the method used to launc Gaston Lagaffe in 1958. With the appearance of blue footprints in a small article apologizing for minor print errors in the issue.
