The Arabasta Kingdom (アラバスタ王国, Arabasta Ōkoku) is a kingdom in the manga and anime One Piece. Located in the Grand Line, Arabasta is a summer island made covered almost entirely in deserts.

The king of Arabasta, Nefertari Cobra (, Neferutari Kobura, "Nefeltari Nebra" in the English dub) is a fair and just king who is normally well liked by his people. He is very friendly with his citizens, and is known to slap them if they do something he doesn't care for. He loves his daughter very much, and worries about her safety.

The princess of Arabasta, Nefertari Vivi (, Neferutari Bibi, "Nefeltari Vivi" in the English dub) is very dedicated to her country. She loves it dearly, and wants nothing more than the safety of it and its citizens.

Also known as Chaka the Jackal (, Jakkaru no Chaka), Chaka is one of the two sub-commanders of the Arabastan army. In Igaram's absence, he is the acting-commander. Chaka ate a devil fruit, inu-inu no mi, model: jackal (dog-dog fruit, model: jackal), which allows him to turn into a jackal. He seems to be an accomplished swordsman; he is the one who taught Kohza.

Also known as Pell the Falcon (, Hayabusa no Peru), Pell is one of the two sub-commanders of the Arabastan army. Pell ate a devil fruit, tori-tori no mi, model: falcon (bird-bird fruit, model: falcon), which allows him to turn into a falcon. He often fights with guns, although he also carries a sword at all times.

Carue

Carue (, Kar, "Karoo" in the English dub) is Vivi's pet spot-billed duck. He is the leader of the Spot-Billed Duck Squad, an offshoot of the Arabastan army. He is fiercely loyal to Vivi, and has even risked his life to protect her.

Like Vivi, Carue was also accepted by the Straw Hat Pirates as one of their nakama.

Eyelashes

Eyelashes (, Matsuge, "Eyelash" in the English dub) is a camel the Straw Hat Pirates found on the way to Yuba. In the anime, Chopper first met him in Katorea. Eyelashes is perverted, only allowing females to ride him; however, he later does allow Usopp to ride him when he's very injured. After the crew leaves, Eyelashes joins the Spot-Billed Duck Squad, despite the fact that he's not a duck.

Scissors

Scissors (, Hasami) is a moving-crab who is a friend of Eyelashes. Like Eyelashes, he is very perverted, and helps much faster when Nami or Vivi give him commands. After the crew leaves, Scissors gets a job transporting people to the nearby hot spring started by Gedatsu and Goro.

Terracotta (, Terakotta) is Igaram's wife, as well as the head chef at Alubarna palace.

Toto

Toto (, Toto, "" in the English dub) is Kohza's father. Toto used to be overweight, but after years of living alone in Yuba, he is now quite skinny. He, along with Kohza, started the city of Yuba.

Goro

Goro

Goro (, Goro) is Toto's brother, as well as Kohza's uncle. Goro helped Gedatsu adapt to life on the Blue Sea. The two then started the Ukkari Hot Springs nearby Arabasta.

Kappa

Kappa (, Kappa) is a young boy who desperately wants to join the rebel army. Kohza refuses to allow him to join. Kappa later is the only one to see the transformation of Mr. 2 Bon Clay, but is taken down by Mr. 1 and Miss Doublefinger.

Bananadile

Bananadiles (, Bananawani) are a type of large crocodile that have banana-shaped growths on their heads.

Moving Crab

Moving Crabs (, Hikkoshi Crab) are a species of large crabs that spend most of their time living buried under the sand. They come above the land so rarely that their existence is almost seen as a myth. They can move very quickly along the land; however, they are unable to move on the water.

Kung-Fu Dugong

Kung-Fu Dugongs (, Kun Fu Jugon) are a species of dugong native to the shores of Arabasta. These dugong are very strong fighters, able to beat many humans in battle. However, if they are beaten, they see the person who defeated them as their master, and try to learn from them. They are very loyal to their masters. Kung-Fu Dugong seem to enjoy eating meat.

Sea Cat

A Sea Cat

A type of sea monster, Sea Cats (, Umi Neko, "Cat Sharks" in the English dub) are native to the waters nearby Arabasta. The Arabastans see these as sacred animals.

  • The country's name is spelled "Alabasta" on an Eternal Pose the crew obtains. However, every time afterwards that the country's name is spelled, it is instead spelled "Arabasta".
  • At one point, the city of Erumalu is written as "Elumalu". Later it is always written as "Erumalu".
  • According to a recent fan poll in Shonen Jump, Pell is currently the 27th most popular One Piece character.
  • According to a recent fan poll in Shonen Jump, Carue is currently the 47th most popular One Piece character.
