i3Detroit is a non-profit hackerspace/makerspace in Metro Detroit, modeled after similar organizations in the United States and Europe. It is a registered non-profit Michigan corporation, with IRS 501(c)(3) charitable status. [1]
It's self-described mission is to "educate, create, inspire, and innovate through open education, research, and development." [2]

It opened in Royal Oak in 2009 and moved to it's current home in Ferndale in 2010.
