Neil Drafting

Although Neil grew up writing and performing, his career as a poet and performer really began when he attended Macalester College in Saint Paul, MN and joined their Slam Poetry team in 2011. The same year, the team placed first in the College National Poetry Slam. At that time, Neil was also a part of the Minneapolis Adult National Slam Poetry team, who placed 5th out of 80 competitors in the 2011 competition. After graduating that year, Neil began to perform with Button Poetry, a company based out of Minnesota that produces and distributes poetry in different forms such as published books and YouTube videos. Neil's poem OCD was among the first videos posted on their YouTube page in 2012. A different performance of the same poem was posted a year later and quickly went viral, with over 12 million views today. It is both Button Poetry's most watched video and the most watched slam poem on the internet. (CITE) (INFO BETWEEN HERE) A year later in 2014, Neil signed a contract with the College Agency, a company that represents performers in all genres that want to perform on college campuses across the country.
