HicCalc is an educational open-source graphics calculator written in Java by Manu M. Pillai. The program source code is available freely under the GPL license and hence, can be manipulated and used as a part of, or as a stand-alone program. This scientific utility can be used to create graphs of math functions by passing the function as input. The software supports unlimited exponents on variables. The software was being distributed as a product of 'HicSys Inc', but future versions may not be a part of the company.
Compatibility
[edit]As the software is written in Java, it can be run on any Java compatible system, which includes Windows, Mac and most Linux distributions.
Version history
[edit]The version available for download is currently HicCalc 1.0 [1].The version has all the bugs from version 1.0 corrected, in addition to new features. HicCalc 1.0 is also available for download from the Sourceforge database.[2]
Constraints
[edit]Since the software is still in its 'Beta' stage, there are a few bugs that are being corrected, and hence the software needs to be updated frequently.
