I am the one and only TheTechie! I joined 1703 days ago, and have been editing Wikipedia since. I have been renamed once to this current name from Mseingth2133444 (/ÉmÉsiËÉŞĹθ/ or "em-es-ee-ing-th"), and was renamed on 2024-03-21 (PT). I have made over 4000 edits to the English Wikipedia (across all namespaces, not just article namespace). I usually am doing recent changes patrol. If you need to contact me regarding Wikipedia, please leave me a message on my talk page; this can be easily done by clicking the "talk" link on the top and starting a new section.
Like my username suggests, I am a techie, a person who really likes technology. As such, this is what I'm interested in editing in (when I'm not doing anti-vandalism, new page, or recent changes patrols).
I actually have an old HP with Linux on it. Funny story, I accidentally wiped Windows when trying to install Ubuntu (which used to work but doesn't). So I had no choice, and installed Linux Mint, which worked. Funny story, that's where my signature is from, it's inspired by the prompt from the Mint Terminal. I am loving it! Usually, I try out different desktop environments/distros (I currently have Mint (Cinnamon, XFCE, Mate), Fedora, and Kubuntu installed)
I also know some coding and do some in my free time. I know Python the most, some HTML/CSS/JS (not JQuery though), and a little bit of C#, C, and assembly code.
As I have removed my history from this page, this section will be a trailer of sorts, and you can view the full history by clicking the link above.
TheTechie, an editor. Not just another, a very special techie with lots of skills, and lots of permissions. But how did this happen? Read The History of TheTechie, linked above, to find out!
Good question! It just means that I'm okay with you addressing me by either he/him, she/her, or they/them pronouns. I did this to keep my gender identity private, while allowing editors to exercise utmost flexibility when referring to or talking to me. You are free to use any of these pronouns to refer to me, and are allowed to switch mid-sentence (as I know some do this). If I reveal my gender identity in the future, which is a big if, I will likely still allow editors to use those pronouns.
While I fully respect anyone who wishes to use neopronouns, with all respect, I do find it a bit confusing sometimes (with the exception of ey/em). Maybe it's because the he/they/she pronouns have been in English longer than we can count, but that is why I don't allow editors to use neopronouns when referring to me, with utmost respect.
As if the ones at the side/top weren't enough. (Note: The ones in the infobox are more Wikipedia-y ones. Also, they were from before the June 2nd update, where I revealed that I'm (partially) distrohopping. I'm currently too lazy to change it.)
Roses are #FF0000, Violets are #0000FF, If you understood that, Then you're a nerd too!
Some kind people have thanked me for the edits I've made on Wikipedia. There are two places to view this appreciation: One is this page (where I manually move barnstars, WikiLove, etc from my talk page) and here.
