BeatTheTraffic.com is a nationwide service operated by Triangle Software based in Campbell, California. Beat The Traffic was founded in 2001 by CEO Andre Gueziec with the launch of the website sfbaytraffic.info. Information compiled from numerous public and private sources is used to provide real-time traffic information and maps for most major US cities.[1] In 2005, Beat The Traffic entered the broadcasting industry with the release of Beat The Traffic 3D, a three-dimensional animated map displaying traffic flow, roadwork, and accidents.[2][3] As of 2008, 18 TV stations use this system to relate traffic reports and breaking news events on a daily basis. The company has received four U.S. patents and the Top Innovation Award[4] from the National Association of Broadcasters.
