Barmeshwar Prasad was born on 7th January 1925 in 'Buxar' district of 'Bihar'. He completed his primary education from his hometown Buxar, and did his intermediate from Patna Science College. He graduated from Patna Medical College & Hospital, and got higher degrees from London. He was firstly appointed as the personal medical officer of the then chief minister of bihar, hon. Sri Krishna Singh, and was family doctor to the governor of bihar. He then shifted to darbhanga, where he worked as professor of the General Medicine department, and subsequently moved to ranchi, the city where he took his last breath.
