Colin Anderson is a comedy producer working in radio and podcasting[1].
Colin Anderson joined the BBC’s Programme Making Trainee Scheme in 2002, where he trained in TV, radio and online production before specialising in radio comedy[2]. He worked as a staff producer[3] (and later exec) in BBC Radio Comedy for 12 years, over which time he produced stand-up, sketch, sitcom, topical comedy, drama and documentary programming across the BBC’s networks.
As a producer, Colin won Radio Academy Awards for Mark Thomas: My Life in Serious Organised Crime and The Now Show[4], with a further nomination for Radio 1’s late-night music and comedy show The Milk Run. As executive producer, he’s provided editorial guidance for shows including The News Quiz, Just a Minute, Newsjack, The Museum of Curiosity and The BBC Radio New Comedy Awards.
Colin left the BBC in 2014, moving to Los Angeles to work as a senior producer at maximumfun.org[5]. He continues to freelance as a producer and executive producer[6].
