Brent H. Weber new article content ... Brent Harold Weber, known as Brent Weber, is an award-winning broadcast journalist, author and actor. His book, "The Sports Guy: Scorecard Scribblings From An Ordinary Journalist" (Booklocker, 2002) is a first-person account of his experiences working as a sportscaster with the Cable News Network and other entities in his career. He worked in 2008-2009 as pre and post game host and Sideline Reporter for the NBA's Oklahoma City Thunder and also hosted the team's magazine show, "Air Thunder". Prior to that he had been a contract reporter for Fox Sports West covering various teams (2006-2007) and served as CNN Sports Anchor and Reporter for several years in the early 1990's. He previously did play-by-play for the Class AA Chattanooga Lookouts and other various sports organizations.

As an actor, he worked commercially in Los Angeles for several years and most notably was often confused in internet searches with another performer of the same name, Brent Paul Weber, who has appeared on soap operas and prime time television programs. This Brent Weber is the first Brent Weber referenced in IMDB, with Brent Paul Weber the second, primarily because of his notation as producer of a small video production "The SUnset Sessions" which received only a minor commercial release. He has worked primarily as a sports and news broadcaster and a theatre actor, with appearances on stage in Los Angeles at Long Beach Playhouse, Newport Beach Arts Center, Huntington Beach Playhouse and Rose Center in Westminster.

After moving to Oklahoma City in 2007 to take the role of main anchor on the Fox 25 Morning News (KOKH-TV) he became involved in several non-profit organizations as either a spokesman or fund-raiser, including the Salvation Army, World Neighbors, Shakespeare in the Park, Prevent Blindness Oklahoma, Upward Transitions and The Leukemia Lymphoma Society, the latter of which he was nominated as local "Man of the Year" candidate in 2009. .

He has a daughter born in 1987, Jennifer Nicole Weber, who is an actress. Weber resides in Nichols Hills, Oklahoma and is an adjunct instructor at the University of Oklahoma. He also began working as a licensed realtor in the state of Oklahoma in 2010.
