Who Am I?
[edit]An avid researcher and student/teacher of the universe :o). Ireland is where I was born and where I'm at now and I gotta say I love it here too :o). Being possessed of copious amounts of spare time I get to go fishing a lot and when I'm not indulging myself in that I can usually be found right here at my PC - which I also love too btw .... and my kids - can't forget me kids! Heh! Heh! Hi kids !!!!.
What I like.
[edit]My interests are ... varied. My brain is a little shabby from under usage but when I do use it I like to use both sides of it. I'm a great believer in the morphogenic field as hypothesised by David Bohm and I'm interested in how this field interacts with DNA and, in particular, with stem cells. Exactly how stem cells 'perceive' their environment is still a mystery and a great one too. There is an information at work at the most fundamental level of biology, being communicated, perceived and acted upon and nobody, but nobody, has a clue as to how it's being done. As it happens I'm also interested in physics and quantum mechanics and one of the most interestng areas here for me is non-linearity and action-at-a-distance. It ties in nicely with my thoughts about genetics as I believe that the information that is communicated to and between cells is stored in a non-linear domain or, for want of better words, another dimension. Thinking about these dimensions got me into the whole psychoactive drug fiasco and this .... well this really varied my interests!! LOL I took a trip into one of those dimensions and I've never been the same since. It's hard to explain so I'm not even going to try but suffice to say the transition was as smooth as a mirror and I'm much the better for it. Today a study of some 12,000 genes belonging to some 39 people [1] has shown that some of our DNA is "rapidly evolving" and some of those genes pertain to sensory perception. I am hoping that it will lend more functionality to our brains, specifically the parts which we currently need psychoactives to access, the parts which allow us to directly access the information in the morphogenic field. Which reminds me that I'm also interested in the whole concept of consciousness but I'll not get into that at all. Sheesh!
Yyyyyyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwnnnnnnn! Sleep time.
