5 Common Misconceptions of Wikipedia

1) Articles stays the same forever.
False! Information flows and change over time, its vital to keep updating info regarding articles. ( WP:BE BOLD )
2) Wikipedia seeks the Truth
False, WP works on Verifiability not Truth. ( Wikipedia:Verifiability - WP:NOTTRUTH)
3) Wikipedia its a Democracy
No!, Wikipedia its not a Democracy. All must be made by consensus or communication between editors in that period of time, this can change from time to time. ( WP:CON )
4) Old Users have a privileged status
False, dont bite newcomers, old users could be as wrong as anyone. By being veteran doest make you immune of error or wrongdoing. ( WP:BITE ) , ( WP:BIGOT )
5) All edits are based on goodwill.
Half true, despite most users made edits based in a non-commercial, non political content, there are some editors that dont follow the guidelines and wreak havoc on certain articles.(Ignoring Consensus, Facts and RS), there its a Huge Number of Lobbys Groups that are a Menace in Wikipedia; Editing certain Articles and spreading BIAS and Assumptions.
