Tentative List of World Heritage Sites in Iran

Iran (Persia) is a rich country in Culture and Natural assets, home to one of the world's oldest civilizations, and known as Four Seasons Country.

In addition to sites inscribed on the World Heritage list, member states can maintain a list of tentative sites that they may consider for nomination. Nominations for the World Heritage list are only accepted if the site was previously listed on the tentative list. As of May 2020, Iran lists 56 properties on UNESCO's tentative list.
