Cabaguil: A sky god

The Creation

[edit]

In Mayan society, Gods were seen as the source of life. Cabaguil helped Alom and Bitol build the Earth and created human beings to inhabit it and worship them. There were thirteen other deities that assisted in the process. Cabaguil was also referred to as "Heart of the Sky'' making him one of the most important sky gods.
