Queen was a British rock band formed in 1970.[1] The band comprised of 4 members - Freddie Mercury, Brian May, John Deacon and Roger Taylor.[2] Mercury, May and Taylor formed the band. Deacon joined after Queen's formation.[2]

Their debut album, self-titled Queen, released on 13 July 1973 in the UK.[3] The band was also responsible for the popular hit Bohemian Rhapsody, which retrospectively has been crowned one of the best songs, reaching number 1 in 9 weeks of its release.[4]

After the death of Mercury, the band performed with all the remaining members one time at The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert in 1992 before Deacon retired.[5]
