Background
[edit]I am a graduate of IU Bloomington with a double major in Art History and Classical Studies. Currently, I'm trying to decide whether I'd like to eventually teach at the college level, or work in a museum.
Interests
[edit]Some of my interests include art history, classical studies, museums, pit bull/boxers, pigs, Samurai films, mixed martial arts and video games. My favorite artistic movements are Neo-Classicism, Impressionism, and Post-Impressionism. In particular, I love the work of artists such as Jacques-Louis David, Claude Monet, Gustave Caillebotte and Francis Bacon.
Projects
[edit]I am a graduate non-degree student currently taking courses in the Museum Studies Program at IUPUI. This semester, I am taking a course titled 'Collections Care and Management.' Our group project involves identifying, documenting, assessing, and researching more than 40 pieces of art in and around the Indiana State House. I was assigned the sculpture of Art and the sculpture of History, two of the eight Values of Civilization sculptures by Alexander Doyle, along with the bust of Stephen Neal by Clara Barth Leonard. An article written about our project can be seen here.
My project leadership role was, in part, to summarize the key information provided by Wikipedia about Neutral Point of View, also referred to as NPOV, and make it available through our Project page. My summary, along with some helpful links, is available here. I've also fixed a number of broken links in our Bibliography section, as well as adding an small info section for creating external and internal links. In addition, I've fixed a few incorrectly entered pieces of information in the List of public art at the Indiana State House.
