Tweddo is a multi-purpose cross-platform photo processor and batch photo editor for Windows and macOS. The application is focused on running photo editing tasks on large collections of photos in an automated setting.
It is different from other batch photo editors in that it offers a toolset to enhance and restore large photo collections (e.g. scanned photo archives). It provides specific processing jobs, such as infrared cleaning (also referred to as Digital ICE), automatic color correction, removal of color casts, advanced automatic trimming of photos, fixing photo negatives, et cetera. Besides that, it is high performant, handling large images with ease, and offers flexibility in configurations. It is also a regular image batch processor, fulfilling basic image editing tasks such as resizing, cropping, rotating, converting, and watermarking.
History and Background
[edit]Tweddo originated in October 2016 due to a struggle in digitising a home archive of photos, including over 4000+ of photo negatives (35mm film and 16mm film) and printed photo material. The founder and developer of Tweddo was unsatisfied with the slow and intensive workflow of scanning and post-processing the photo negatives, and decided to write software that could assist in the process. The software was first intended to be used as infrared dust and scratch cleaner for photo negatives, that can be used after negatives are scanned and save on the disk. In the end it was decided to add more and more features to the package, finally resulting in a full featured photo batch editor.
The name Tweddo is a combination of two components: Twente and Reddo. Twente is a region in The Netherlands where the company Tweddo is localized, and Reddo is Latin for restoring and repeating.

- The Home edition is designed for people wanting to post-process large collections of photos. It provides access to 40 processing jobs, and enables features such as adding folders recursively and histogram analysis.
- The Professional edition is designed for professionals wanting to enhance and restore large collections of photo archives. It provides access to all 53 processing jobs, and enables before/after output comparison, saving job lists, and job overriding.
