Early Life:

Born 9/10/1984 in Wordsley, England, in the West Midlands, (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wordsley) James Martin moved to the United States at a very early age, and grew up in Madison Heights, Michigan. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madison_Heights,_Michigan)

His hobbies as a youth included ice hockey and music. He plays trumpet and became a member of his school's Marching Band, where he competed in several shows, including the American Guild of Music competitions. He attended Blue Lake Fine Arts camp. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Lake_Fine_Arts_Camp) At 14, James earned the Eagle Scout award from the Boy Scouts of America (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eagle_Scout_(Boy_Scouts_of_America) At 15, he was nominated and accepted as a McDonald's/Disney Millenium Dreamer. This was a group of 2000 kids around the world who were invited to a "youth summit" in Orlando for being active in the community and helping out. At 16, James was a member of the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp International Symphonic Band, and toured Germany and France playing trumpet. James attended college at Grand Valley State University, originally majoring in Journalism, but changing to Computer Science later. Published Works:

James Martin's first published works were front-page news stories for the Grand Valley Lanthorn, the GVSU college paper / Allendale community paper.(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Valley_Lanthorn) He created the shortlived writing community website The Writer's Circle in college; a social networking site for writers to share their works with others, get reviews, and act as short-term digital publishing. Closed after approximately one year due to financial reasons. He wrote part-time as a humor columnist for a (now defunct) political satire magazine in Canada, called the UTEye.


James began writing The Hunter in college, and finished shortly after. the Hunter was published on Kindle on October, 2008. (REVIEWS HERE) Further works are planned for release at a later date.
