Mitchell Ozog
[edit]Mitchell Ozog was born in 1958 Wroclaw, Poland. He study philosophy, History and Political Science. For many years and he has been a consumer for some affairs in his country and abroad; especially fascinated with politics. At the beginning of the Polish Revolution in 1980, he was involved democratic opposition “Solidarity” Movement Independent Workers Union established by Polish Workers. In December 1981 Communist regime declared martial law and he was banned not only from work but He and his wife were arrested and held in internment camps for a few months (1982). After several months he was released. He became involved in the Movement which was call “Fighting Solidarity” the only freedom-seeking Polish organization of the 1980s whose stated goal was to eliminate communism and pursue freedom for all nations under the iron curtain. He was the cofounder of independent publication and an Editor-in-Chief of “Thoughts” (Mysli) social-political periodical the publication linked to Solidarity in Wroclaw area. In 1988 he and his wife with two sons made a decision to leave Poland and settle in the US. The first six months in the US he was a resident of Hamtramck, Michigan and in 1989 he moved with his family to Ann Arbor, Michigan. He has been pursuing his carrier in photography and Graphic design. He is an alumni from Washtenaw Community College with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Graphic Design Technology fields, also he is a senior at Siena Heights University, Bachelor of Applied Science. He has former Precinct Delegate Ann Arbor City 1st Ward Precinct 10. He has been serving on the board of directors of the Bonisteel Masonic Library, and He is Editor in Chief/Graphic Designer of "THE RISING POINT" also he is webmaster of few websites as well. He is a member of the Arrowwood Hills Cooperative and has been for 20 years. He has 5 children which all are attending Ann Arbor Public Schools.
