Me

[edit]

I have been casually strolling around Wikipedia since around 2005, if my memory serves it right. I have not gone into serious editing until at least 2011, but that was when I didn't have my own account. Finally I took a bold decision to create an account and then so Misterpither was conceived.

I'm very much interested in the 20th century era of popular and obscure culture and so I would just go from ABBA to Captain Beefheart easily. But about myself, I love to deal with anything media related; photo editing, cameras, collecting vinyls and playing several musical instruments as well as music. I might dip into cinema culture but frankly I don't know which cinema film is not too artsy. I also run a few fan pages dedicated to my interests on several social media and so I'm inclined to get some information and fact check it and ensure its significance and if the information I saw there was already on the wiki, I might tweak it. If not, I might just take note of it and then wait for sources to come or search further when I have the time.

Very rarely would I tamper with articles covering the 21st century and beyond and if I do, it's meant for technical corrections and not rewriting facts. I leave it up to the others because I'd rather be the first eyewitness by watching the news today!

When I'm not editing Wikipedia and when I'm involved in Wikimedia I usually resort to Wikiquotes. It's cool. My contribution to Wikimedia Commons (don't know how to set up a universal page) which you can visit.

What is your purpose, Mister Pither?

[edit]
  • To improve coverage of any articles I see as stub or C-class. I do not have a particular purpose. But I will tell you where I am mostly when editing
  • I will be mostly around articles that has anything to do with music and the media history.
  • I will edit some articles. Maybe a bit more, kinda in the entertainment spectrum or a few randomised articles I stumble upon
  • I will make it a fair place so we could improve any article with no problem. (hmm... let's see what I can do with it)
