Alli Michelle Simpson (born 24 April 1998) is an Australian singer, model and actress from Gold Coast, Queensland.[1]
Early Life
[edit]Alli Michelle Simpson was born in Gold Coast, Queensland to parents, Angie and Brad Simpson, on 24th April, 1998.She has two siblings Cody Simpson and Tom. She moved with her family to Los Angeles for her older brother, Cody Simpson's career, who has now become a famous singer and has been winning awards since 2010.
Career
[edit]Music
[edit]On June 11, 2013, she recorded her first single "Why I'm Single".[2] Critics cited the song as "A dub-step infused club banger about being a spinster, the track was an unusual choice for a 15-year-old model".[3][4] The official music video received 7,886,184 million views.[5] On Nov 19, 2013, she released her second single "Notice Me" with an accompanying video in November 2013 which received 11,599,601 million views on YouTube.[6] It was well received by critics citing it as, "a more authentic fit than the crashing electro-breakdowns that littered Why I’m Single".[3]
On May 27, 2014, Simpson released Synthpop track — "Guilty", the song is produced by CJ Baran and Ben Romans.[4] Mike Wass of Idolator gave a positive review of the song saying, "the soft and pretty synth-ballad has a distinct ’80s twist — extra points for the unexpected sax! — and a deceptively catchy chorus. “Guilty” reminds me of Olivia Newton-John circa Xanadu with a splash of Owl City‘s exceedingly polite electronica thrown in for good measure. Oh, and there’s even a random dub-step breakdown in there to shake things up".[4] The singer collaborated with CoverGirl for a video featuring Simpson performing a acapella version of Selena Gomez's "I Want You to Know".[7]

[edit]She is currently a Pastry Shoes Brand Ambassador, a shoeline called "Pastry Shoes", which was first started by the Simmons sisters, Angela Simmons and Vanessa Simmons.[8] In 2012, She appeared in film '12 Dogs of Christmas: Great Puppy Rescue' with Sean Patrick Flanery playing the role of Alli.[9] She hosted a special DIY nail episode of IMO on AwesomenessTV's YouTube channel, advertising imPRESS Press-On Manicure.
