Touch Compass is a New Zealand integrated contemporary dance company, featuring its own choreography and aerial work.[1]
History
[edit]The company was founded by Catherine Chappell, after her experience choreographing for Maxine Axford's Healing Through Arts Trust in 1995. Their first season was in 1997 and a charitable trust was set up in 1999. The dance style includes "'aerial work' which sees wheelchairs and dancers suspended and swinging above the stage".[2]
