Nova Scotia School Boards Association ...
The Nova Scotia School Boards Association is an association of school boards in Nova Scotia. It is, in the words of the Association, "the provincial voice for Nova Scotia's school boards." ([1]) According to a Memorandum of Agreement with the Nova Scotia provincial government, it is the communications channel between the government and school boards on issues affecting all boards [2].
It was founded in 1954.
The secondary function of the Association is to provide central procurement services to the member boards

In 2011, the Association moved its offices from the Dartmouth High School (Nova Scotia) to the Burnside Industry Park due to renovations to the building to construct a new gymnasium.
Governance
[edit]The Association is governed by a Board of Directors made up of one representative from each of the eight member boards (in the case that that Board is constituted). In addition, there is a 5 person Executive Committee elected from the membership at large.
The Executive oversees five staff members.
