Coaster

Coaster is the brand name given for services 1 and 2 since 2007. Coaster is operated out of the Percy Main depot in North Tyneside. When Coaster was introduced, the sole vehicle type was the Dennis Trident/East Lancs Lolyne. However, all but two of these have now been replaced by the single decker Scania OmniCity.

Silver Arrows

Silver Arrows is the brand name for services 2A and 2C since 2008. When introduced in October 2008, the 2A and 2C operated a circular route in Washington. However, to simplify the service pattern, the 2A and 2C now each have their own route. Silver Arrows is operated out of the Washington depot and replaced the existing services 73, 74 and 77. The standard vehicle type is the Mercedes-Benz Citaro.

Lime

Lime is the brand name for services 8, 8A, 78, 78A and X8 from October 2007. Service X8 was withdrawn on October 26 2008, with alternative facilities available on the new Silver Arrows, services 50 and 50A, and the extension of service 8 from Stanley to Chester-le-Street. Lime is operated out of Chester-le-Street and Stanley depots and the standard vehicle type is the Volvo B10BLE/Wright Renown.

Empire9

Empire9 is the brand name for service 9 from December 2009. Service 9 replaced existing services 9 and 9A from Sunderland to Jarrow and Wallsend or North Shields. However, from October 2009, services 9 and 9A were split at Jarrow to improve reliability. Service 9 now operates from Sunderland to Jarrow only, while new services 59 and 59A continue north from Jarrow through the Tyne Tunnel to North Tyneside. Service 9 is operated out of Deptford depot and the standard vehicle type is the Dennis Trident/[[East Lancs Lolyne].

TEN

TEN is the brand name for services 10 and X11 from September 2008. Service 10 provides an improved service from its predecessors 10 and 11. Service X11 is a peak-time only service which provides a quick commuter service between Crawcrook, Blaydon, Newcastle Business Park and Newcastle. Services 10 and X11 are operated out of Winlaton depot and the standard vehicle type is the Mercedes-Benz Citaro. However, it is not uncommon to for an articulated Scania L94UA/Wright Solar Fusion to operate on service X11.
