About

[edit]

This is the page of user Minatsu aka Christakis Mina.

I have a PhD from the Graduate School of Engineering, Department of Urban Management of Kyoto University, Japan. I'm also a graduate of the the University of Texas at Austin and the Higher Technical Institute of Cyprus. I have conducted academic research in probabilistic risk analysis of natural and man-made disasters, machine learning and complex social network analysis of open collaboration. I am a registered professional civil engineer in Cyprus, associate member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and member of the Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber, the American Society of Civil Engineers and Japan Society of Civil Engineers. I'm passionate about computers and technology, enjoy photography, good live music, having stimulating discussions while enjoying good wine with friends (the original meaning of "symposium") and tinkering with computers and electronics.
