I received my BA in Archaeology [1986] from the now defunct New World Archaeology program at Rutgers University. At the time, famed Mayanist, Norman Hammond was the draw for this major. Field study in New World areas was offered in Nohmul, Belize with Dr. Hammond during the spring semester. Our dreams came true as we deflected the New Jersey winter! Wendy Ashmore's summer session in Belize was less useful in that sense. . .
