History
[edit]The company was founded in March 2000[1] . The company has diversified in the last 4 years and are trading in Gas and Oil products. The Athlone Group has an annual turnover of $5.5 Billion, the projects in Africa turnover over the next 5 years will come from their humanitarian, with the increase in projects, Athlone Group have doubled their project team.
Humanitarian Projects
[edit]Athlone Ventures is geared towards working with governments and countries such as Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan to support growth for the benefit of the regions.[2]
Athlone does this by attracting foreign investors into the countries who have an in interest in humanitarian and government supported projects, who are also looking for long term investment opportunities. Athlone Ventures brings together these investors and the opportunities presented by the governments.[3]
They have project teams around the world and they find opportunities that fit their humanitarian plan, mainly focusing on countries that have wealth but have a lack of skills to improve its infrastructure, Athlone make the necessary project team recruitment and assign a task force of companies that then talk to the stakeholders in that country and provide them with the financing and know how.
Notable Projects
[edit]The Athlone Group is set to continue progress towards a three year plan to achieving a turnover of $10 Billion USD. Projects in Kazakhstan, Africa and the far east, Construction, Oil and Gas in efforts to achieve record turnover.[4]
African Projects
[edit]Athlone have intensified their negotiations with African Oil producing nations, especially in Nigeria, Kenya and Ghana. Jojar Singh Dhinsa has forged several partnerships with local supply companies[5]. Athlone are investing heavily in Africa, especially in Energy projects, they are in discussions with several high profile African countries looking at ways to help those countries through financing and technical expertise. There is more focus on Africa then any other continent, Africa has plentiful of untapped resources which make it more attractive and also political stability is more apparent. Africa over the next 10 years will attract billions of dollars of investment.
Sri Lanka Projects
[edit]Athlone have been working on trade agreements with Sri Lanka, these agreements will cover commodities. Jojar S Dhinsa recently met with the prime minister to start the working relationship. Athlone is very excited and views Sri Lanka as a major trading partner.
Mr Dhinsa believes Sri Lanka has great potential and is in perfect situation to become a world trade leader. Athlone group has targeted Sri Lanka as a major hub for its future operations. [edit]Athlone Construction partners have over 40 years of commercial and residential construction experience, with over $10 Billion dollars of completed projects since 2000.[6]
Athlone Media
[edit]Athlone Media are working with several content providers who are developing for the Google TV platform, plans to design a online and google TV television station are in planning stage. Jojar S Dhinsa is familiar with the media industry, he has been featured on several business reports on UK stations and was featured on a discovery channel programme.
Management
[edit]Jojar Singh Dhinsa is a international business financier, Jojar S. Dhinsa first came into the public eye in 2002, but from an early age, Jojar always had a keen eye for business deals and was a natural entrepreneur. He started business life very young and quickly progressed to become the international financier and venture capitalist. He started an exporting business and that allowed Jojar to capitalise on and further develop his natural talent for driving a good business deal. Jojar had begun building a reputation and business network that later would lead to the successful foundation of the Athlone Group a $5.5 Billion company where he is the Chairman and CEO. The company is involved in humanitarian projects around the world[7] Jojar has been nominated for several wards, recently being nominated at the Sikh Awards.
