The overarching reason for the strike is that companies are competing for short-term goals to find competitive advantage and as the solution to this problem they pass on this responsibility to their workers, putting them in competitive environments and applying pressure which leads to this strikes. The government, also indirectly aids this process through subsidies and grants for the businesses, therefore leading workers to their exercise of power which is strikes. This chain reaction has observed to have happened in many other developed countries like Belgium, Netherlands and so on.
