Everest is one of the most famous mathematical competition in Georgia. It is held between students, from the 2nd - to the 6th grade.

The mathematical Olympiad "Everest" was created in the year 2009 and was the idea of Dachi Nanobashvili, chairman. Based on his five year experience from the mathematical competition he was doing in the school, he started thinking seriously about the Olympiad with a student group of ten. After that the organization has grown, now there are 20 members in the head and the numbers of the students also significantly increased, starting with 1500 students in the year of 2009, now there are already somewhere 10 000 pupils registered. Everest is also the first contest in Georgia to have a Teachers competition involved.

Purpose of the Olympics

  • The development of logical thinking and analytical skills of children.
  • Get known to interesting mathematical problems, to receive experience in solving multiple-choice problems and participating in mathematical Olympics.
  • Increase their motivation in learning mathematics.
  • Involve teachers, students and senior pupils in the Olympiad.
  • To get closer and cooperate with various students and teachers.
