Elliot's War is a 2008 comedy short film about a home inventor who creates his own personal space vehicle. Written and directed by Greg Rank, the film was produced for and distributed by Big Song Entertainment.
Plot
[edit]Home inventor Elliot Wilcox (Gregh Rank) builds a odd personal space transportation vehicle in his garage. He calls the "Outer Space Ultra Light Rocking Chair" or "OSULRC-1". After development of the strange machine, Wilcox is hired by the Fortune 500 to recover space data for use in research and development. He is also called upon to perform a special mission for the United States Air Force. After the success of that mission, Commander Silk (Dave Fichman) of the Air Force attempts to gain contol of Wilcox's device.

Background
[edit]The "OSULRC-1" used in the film, was constructed as a prop for a live stage production at the Sebastiani Theatre in Sonoma, California. After being created for theater, the prop was featured in a 2007 presentation by Atkearney Procurement and Analytic Solutions. It was ferried to an from various shoot locations. Green screen effects were used to make it appear the prop was travelling in space. As a functioning tech museum showcasing 200 years of inventing history, the device remains on display at the Sonoma Mentoring Alliance.[1]
