The faster the initiation, the fewer terminations and transfers, the more consistent the number of propagating chains leading to narrow molecular weight distributions. [1]
Polymers
[edit]There are many different types of polymers. They are used in our everyday lives. The most famous reference is to the graduate. [4]
Polymers Synthesis
[edit]The two main ways to synthesize polymers are by step-growth and chain-growth polymerizations. The difference between them are as follows.
Step-Growth Polymerizations
[edit]Chain-Growth Polymerizations
[edit]Chain-growth... A type of chain-growth polymerization is ATRP.

This is a typical ATRP reaction:
creating high quality images:
settings for chem draw:
1.) file --> adopt document settings from --> ACS Document 1996
2.) once structures are drawn, Object --> object settings --> bold length: 0.03 and line width: 0.015
3.) normalize bond lengths and angles: stucture --> clean up structure
4.) align structures/equation: object --> align.
to make a list, as shown above, need to insert a "line break" (arrow at top)
Polymer Characterization
[edit]There are many ways in which polymers are characterized.

[edit]Equations
[edit]
if you are typing greek letters in your text, greek letters are at the bottom of the editing page. pull down menu --> greek β λ Σ
However, in an equation, the greek letters must be spelled out.
(underscore means a subscript)
Tables
[edit]type your tables across
title of column 1 | title of column 2 | title of column 3 |
---|---|---|
row 1 column 1 | row 1 column 2 | row 1 column 3 |
row 2 column 1 | row 2 column 2 | row 2 column 3 |
necessary for last vertical line before brackets to place table immediately after text and not at end of Wikipedia page.
