My name is Martin Taylor. I was born and raised in the North of England. I graduated with a BA(hon) from Leeds University in English Literature in 1989. I have worked in the software industry ever since, emigrating to San Francisco, California when my department was relocated in 1995.
I have been using Wikipedia for many years but have never really contributed to the project until recently although I was one of the original members of a still running project called Camerapedia. Hard core wikipedians make me a little nervous as it seems that every change make might be contested (I still don't understand why I can't licence my images to Wikipedia without them becoming fare game to the rest of the world).
My areas of knowledge and interest include photography, guitars, music, cars, databases, web technology, and many niche areas of popular culture.
