Hi, I'm Matthew G. Heberger, an American living in Paris, France. I'm a hydrologist and water manager, having recently completely a PhD in remote sensing at Sorbonne University.

After college I served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Mali, West Africa. In 2012, I co-founded the Dokotoro Project, whose purpose was to translate the community health guide "Where There is No Doctor" into the Bambara language. I am also a volunteer for the small nonprofit "Build a School in Africa."

I occasionally contribute small snippets and corrections to Wikipedia articles that interest me. I am the creator of the Global Watersheds web app, and I have used the app to create many watershed maps for Wikipedia articles. A list of them is here:
