The Youth Congress (Indonesian: Kongres Pemuda or Van Ophuisjen: Congres Pemoeda) was a series of meetings attended by multiple Indonesian nationalist youth organizations from different regions throughout the archipelago to discuss about social, cultural, and economical issues in the Dutch East Indies, as well as discussing about the national unity and identity of the Indonesians. The meetings was held twice in Batavia and were conducted using the Dutch language, the first meeting were headed by Mohammad Tabrani and lasted for three days from 30 April to 2 May 1926, the second meeting took place from 27 to 28 October 1928 and led by Soegondo Djojopoespito, the meeting resulted in the creation of the Youth Pledge, the pledge that defines the Indonesian national identity.
