User:MetaResilience
MetaResilience is a process of learning and development which uses Dialogue as a methodology to engage the MetaResilience Maximisers and Minimisers. The Maximisers are: Personal Persistence, Personal Efficiency, Experience of Adversity and Openness to Change ; the Minimisres are: Obstacles to Adaptation, Instability of Environment, Personal Vulnerability and Low Self Esteem.
The methodology was developed between 2007 and 2012 as a personal journey of practitioner research by the founder of the foundation, Paul Mooney. Mooney, experienced a severe breakdown in Dublin Ireland, following a 27 year corporate and entrepreneurial career. During the recovery period following his breakdown, he decided to study and develop a response to depression in the workplace and suicide in the workplace.
The method was conceived in Kuwait, tested in Australia and was formally ratified as a methodology in South Africa between 2008 and 2012, as PhD level research study undertaken under the auspices of Middlesex University, London. Additional PhD level studies will be taken with Monarch University in Switzerland. It is hoped to launch the African Resilience Research Centre in association with a leading South African University.
