Miguel Cosico Esplana was born on September 15, 1983 at Barangay San Antonio, Biñan, Laguna. His father Rafael Rodriguez Esplana Sr. and his mother Eva Alpa Cosico are both Filipino.

He is a Civil Engineer by profession since December 2005 after passing the Board Exam taken on November 2005.

He is a musician. He can play various instruments such as drums, guitars and keyboard.

He was a former member of dance crew JAG Movers during his young age (1995-1996), formed by his elder brother Rafael Cosico Esplana Jr..
