Biography
[edit]Abigail Keam was born in Northern Kentucky. Her ancestry has strong roots in Appalachia and the Deep South. She graduated With Distinction from the University of Kentucky with a B.A. She studied writing with authors, James Baker Hall, Gurney Norman, and Lynn Pruett. After college graduation Keam began life as a poet, but the economic recession of the late 1970s and early 1980s led her to set aside her writing aspirations and work at a variety of jobs including data entry operator, professional portrait photographer, and beekeeper.
Keam published her first novel "Death By A HoneyBee" in 2010. She claims Josiah Reynolds, her beekeeping sleuth, came to her in a dream. She also writes the Last Chance For Romance Series, a sweet romance series, and the Princess Maura Tales, an epic fantasy series.
Keam is still a beekeeper and has been the recipient of 16 awards at the Kentucky State Fair. She is a fan of English Mastiffs, Thoroughbred horse racing, classic film noir, and history. Abigail Keam lives in a metal house on the Kentucky River Palisades in Kentucky's Bluegrass Region. She is married and has one child.
