[edit]- make table of mandatory/involuntary partner notification laws (see reference in blog post) -- consider making in Google docs and using a Google table to make a map visualization
- add tons of info from Stanford 25
- three types of cells (dark, clear, myoepithelial) in eccrine gland
- pelvic pain line (Moore 220)
- add discussion of Hagen–Poiseuille equation to Vascular resistance
- AgNOR score
- Human gait cycle
- clarify pulse pressure article
- make free version of radiology cranial nerve powerpoint

[edit]- movements of the shoulder
- Erb's palsy
- klumpke's paralysis
- Image of full claw hand to contrast to ulnar claw
- illustrate the Schamroth window test for article on Clubbing of fingers
Illustrations
[edit]- animation of establishment of re-entrant circuid in AVNRT (there are already some good ones on youtube, but none are free, as far as I can tell)
- diagram of bilirubin synthesis/metabolism. (See GI board review notes in OneNote.)
- add arteries to File:Brain human normal inferior view with labels en.svg
- diagram showing how contraction of the ciliary muscles leads to rounding of the lens of the eye (probably a deriv of one of these http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Anatomy_of_the_human_eye )
- nondisjunction in meiosis 1 and 2
- the meiosis and mitosis images aren't great either
- something depicting passage of internal pudendal artery. (see Netter "Arteries of rectum and anal canal: posterior view" and gray320). maybe passage of things through greater sciatic foramen
- adapt glycolysis picture to gluconeogenesis
- coronal cross section of perineum based on File:Gray407.png
- a better diagram of tubulin and microtubules depicting the location of GTP
- retrace/vectorize File:Cardiac Cycle Left Ventricle.PNG (Wigger's diagram). verify with diagram from class
- penicillin
- cleavage of penicilin by beta-lactamases
- inhibition of beta-lactamases by clavulanic acid
- primordial, primary, and secondary follicles
- cell types in intestinal and gastric glands
- antigen presentation and T and B cell activation (double check that diagrams don't already exist)
- intussusception
- make similar images, esp. "liver lobule" from here
- pituitary circulation (lots of great basis images on google image search)
- MHC-TCR cross-linking by superantigens
- try to add depth to Renal corpuscle.svg
- different types of check valves model diagrams
- A procedurally generated depiction of zones of the liver. Basically, set up a hexagonal grid of portal triads, then assign a 0-1 value to every other point on the plane according to its distance from the closest triad.
- Really, each lobule should be independent of every other lobule, so only need to do one and then can stitch them together in paint or something.
- Figure out how to inscribe a hexagon into a 1x1 square. Then find the coordinates of the vertices. Then use the geometry module of sympy to create Point objects to create the hexagon. It has methods for determining the distances from points to lines, line segments, etc. Then use PIL to create the actual image. Consider using the color gradients from Matplotlib if you're feeling fancy.
- A hepatocyte's oxygenation level can be determined by the distance from it to the nearest portal triad, from it to the nearest interlobular artery, from it to the two closest triads. (From it to the two closest arteries would probably have the same effect as from it to the nearest portal triad.)
