[edit]Bayona grew up in Brooklyn, New York and is of Afro/Puerto Rican descent.[2][3] Rahsun introduced Felion to the public in 1998.[2][3] Felion was featured on Sony 550 artist Rahsun's debut LP It's Not a Game which included the single "I`ll Be Around" which featured the deceased rapper Big Punisher. Sony 550 sought signing Felion however due to financial difficulties Sony's 550 label was dismantled.[2][4]
Felion continued releasing mix-tapes with fellow rapper D Fenominal, and collaborating with associates such as rapper Keith Murray. Thug Felon was then offered a deal by Erick Sermon after hearing Bayona's work.[2][5] However again due to financial circumstances and legal difficulties an albim was never released. [7]
