The Stanislaus County Fairgrounds are located in Turlock. Before the land was known as Stanislaus County Fairgrounds it was first known as Melon Carnival because of its main crop of cantaloups that helped their economy. Since 1911, the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds have been known to contribute as a source of entertainment and education. Promoting agriculture, entertainment and technology with the help of the community is the main mission for the Stanislaus County fairgrounds.[1]
