Simple Six Writing Method Simple Six Writing is a step by step method for teaching six components of writing often required on standardized proficiency writing assessments. The six attributes addressed in this method are: sticking to the topic, logical order, interesting words, different sentence patterns, descriptive sentences, and audience. Instruction of this method includes teachers modeling details in a drawing, the students applying the teacher instructions and composing a written piece based on literature read aloud. Kay Davidson is associated with defining this method.
