Makomeke started his career in Zimbabwe with Ngezi Platinum Stars reserve side in the Northern Region Soccer League, where he played there for one season before moving to Chisumbanje based side Green Fuel. It was at Green Fuel where he enjoyed a successful 2 year spell under the guidance of Lloyd Mutasa,there he won promotion in the Eastern Region Division One league in a season they finished unbeaten. His PSL (Zimbabwe) debut came in 2023 at Gibbo Stadium in a 3-2 defeat to Ngezi Platinum FC, however his progress was hampered by injuries and he made few appearances that season, before leaving his homeland for Mozambique for the first time. In total he made 9 appearances and scored 8 goals and provided 1 assist in the half of the season he played at Clube Ferroviario de Nacala.
